what you see is a 3d printed, um, “bead” designed by the Eno Office and fabricated by Shapeways. this came out a little larger than we wanted, since this particular material (alumide) is not good in tension (think gingerbread made of metal) and thus requires a pretty substantial wall thickness.  we think we’ll change them from “beads” to “christmas ornaments” and hawk them this december.  now i’m standing by for the glazed ceramic (!) version to arrive.
